Project Management

I have many years experience of managing projects involving the cultural heritage, these have often meant dealing with issues involving natural heritage.

I have managed almost 300 different projects ranging from little more than a morning spent removing graffiti from an ancient monument to a number projects of over £100,000.  Many of these projects were taken from identification of client's requirements all the way to completion.

Each project is different but each needs a holistic approach. The need to bring a project to completion on time and on budget as well as ensuring best conservation practice can be a difficult balance.

I can be brought into a project to advise on how to manage it or to manage the project either full or part-time - depending on the length of the project and on other commitments in hand.  I have considerable experience in picking up others projects and taking them to completion.

I can provide good references from Architects, Museum Directors, Property Managers, Curatorial staff, Main Contractors, National Heritage Organisations, Owners or Churchwardens to prove my competence in this area.

As a full member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation I have demonstrated skills and experience in the eight Areas of Competence and I subscribe to the IHBC Code of Conduct.

I am also an Accredited Conservator-Restorer with the Institute of Conservation.
